How do I join the First Baptist Church of Wake Village?
If you believe it is God’s will for you to join us, and you will be supportive of the beliefs, fellowship, and mission of our church, we warmly invite you to consider joining our church body.
It is our practice as Southern Baptists to receive those who are requesting membership during a public invitation time that occurs at the conclusion of most of our worship services. At the close of our worship service, our pastor will normally invite those who desire church membership to join through one of the following means:
1. Profession of faith- This means you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and desire to be baptized by immersion;
2. Transfer of membership from another Baptist church- This means that your membership is currently in another Baptist church, but you believe it is God’s will for you to become part of our church family at this time;
3. Statement of faith- you may be accepted as a member of this church upon your statement that you have previously trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord for salvation and you have been baptized as a believer by immersion.
Visitors are encouarged to discuss membership with the leadership of the church prior to joining. We take church membership very seriously and do not believe it should be entered into lightly.
