Scott Neathery, Senior Pastor
Scott Neathery is our Senior Pastor. He is a native of Sherman, Texas. In 1984, while he was still a student at East Texas Baptist University, Scott served as a Summer Youth Minister at FBC Wake Village. Following graduation, he came back and served as Youth Minister while he attended New Orleans Theological Seminary until 1987. Following his pastorates at Hope and First Baptist Church Paragould, Arkansas, Scott once again returned to FBC Wake Village in 2006 to serve as senior pastor. Scott and his wife, Linda, were married in 1980. They have two married children, Michael and Megan, one daughter attending college at ETBU, Madyson. Scott and Linda teach the young married adults class.
John Yates, Student Pastor – Youth & Young Adult
Brother John has served as Youth Pastor since August 2011. Prior to serving at FBC Wake Village, John served as a Youth Pastor in Cisco, Texas. John is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University. John and his wife, Jodi, have three beautiful children: Mackenzie, Spencer, and Holden. John has a heart for relational youth ministry, emphasizing the importance of every student in the ministry and becoming better disciples through youth leadership programs, local volunteer work and weekly worship and Bible study. John enjoys playing the guitar for the youth and adult praise band, coaching his sons in little league baseball (and watching his daughter’s dance recitals) and rooting for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
Minister to Preschool Children
Paula Stansbury, Minister to Preschoolers, is passionate about building relationships with preschoolers and their families. Paula married her high school sweetheart, Chad, in 1993, and they have a daughter, Amelia. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and graphic design.
Minister to Children
Julie Ratcliff is our Children’s Minister. She loves working with the kids and being able to share God’s Word with them. Julie has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Education. She is currently a Pre-K teacher for the Liberty-Eylau School District. Julie taught at Pleasent Grove ISD for one year before moving to Trinity Christian Schools where she was a teacher and an administrator. Julie has four nieces and six nephews who are her favorite children in the world.
